Reassuring Reasons Why People Trust GFX With Their Printing Projects

GFX has its own image to uphold. We believe we meet the kind of professional standards found in any “bricks and mortar” print shop. We also believe we’ve achieved a high standard for online efficiency and security. We’d like to believe people could take that for granted. But we think we should reassure you about these things anyway.

Turnaround Time

GFX operates on a Monday-to-Thursday production schedule. If you order on Monday by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and your artwork is already prepared, your cards will be ready for delivery by Thursday (bindery excepted and Publisher files) and if you are in the Toronto area, you'll receive it by Friday. We require a minimum of 1-2 business days for bindery services such as perforating, diecutting, scoring and folding. We no longer offer a rush service for printing. Note that we begin film preparation at 3:01 every Monday.

If you send Publisher files, the deadline is Friday at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time due to the additional production time required to convert them to proper files.

Turnaround Time for Brochures and Flyers

We do not gang these orders which is why we can offer to print them almost immediately. The same offset printing standards apply to these products.

National Holidays

For weeks where there is a national holiday in both Canada and the United States (July 1, July 4, December 25 and January 1), our printing schedule will be delayed.

Stock - No Flimsy Cards From GFX

Postcards, Business Cards and Book Markers are only as good the card stock they’re printed on. We appreciate that you haven’t seen and felt the card stock like you could at a print shop. But you can. Just order samples by mail and judge for yourself. All GFX products are printed on a minimum 130 lb. coated both sides (C2S).

Not Glossing Over the Facts

Once your order is printed, we add aqueous coating on one side to protect the ink. Unlike UV coating, it's anti-glare and only brings out the natural sheen in the already coated paper we use.

Color Reproduction - Offsetting Your Concerns

We do the kind of photographic printing that can only be done on offset presses. No photocopiers or computer printers are used for GFX products. All orders are gang printed (multiple orders on the same sheet) on a Heidelberg press. This enables us to reproduce photographic quality images. Our color reproduction quality is generally a minimum of 300 dpi (dots per inch). 375 dpi recommended (or 175 lpi, which is our standard film output). Colors are matched as accurately as possible** from the transparencies, slides, photos or digital layouts you submit to us.

Delivery - Dependability Overcomes Distance

We realize that you may be accustomed to dealing with a local printer and could go and pick up your cards. Our promise of Monday-to-Thursday for production and 1-5 business days for delivery* makes us as prompt and dependable as any local printer. We use United Parcel Service (UPS) who ensure delivery anywhere in the Continental US or Canada. You can contact us to track your shipment. Our years of online experience have demonstrated that distance is not a problem in online printing. For customers in the Greater Toronto Area, shipping is overnight.

Security - Don’t Give it Another ‘Thawte’

As long as certain security standards are met, nobody should be hesitant about using their credit card online. GFX more than meets those standards. We’ve been conducting business online securely for years, without problems. We do not use any third party processors for credit cards -- your information is transferred to GFX directly.  All information to and from our site is encrypted, and not stored in any databases online.

You can also be reassured about your project integrity if your artwork contains pricing or other information you don’t want competitors to see. Only GFX employees work with your images and handle the printing of your cards.

The Fine Print

* Our Turnaround Time for production and delivery is subject to mechanical breakdowns, weather conditions, weekends, holidays, and other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Delivery times are not guaranteed.

** GFX makes every effort to match colors, but cannot accept responsibility for minor color variations between submitted images and printed cards. Computer monitors, software and laser proofs are not an accurate means of color matching. Therefore, precise color matching cannot be guaranteed by GFX. Our printing can only be as good as the images you supply us. Low-resolution images, such as compressed JPEGs or web graphic files will result in lower quality printing.
